⚙️ How Slug Generation Works
Lowercase Conversion
All uppercase letters are converted to lowercase. URLs are case-insensitive in practice, but lowercase slugs are the SEO standard and prevent duplicate content issues from URL casing variations.
Accent Conversion
Accented characters like é, ü, ñ, and ç are converted to their plain ASCII equivalents (e, u, n, c). This ensures slugs work correctly across all browsers and servers without encoding issues.
Stop Word Removal
Common words like “the”, “a”, “and”, “of”, “in”, “to”, “is”, “are” are removed when this option is enabled, creating shorter, more focused slugs that carry more SEO keyword weight.
Separator Handling
Spaces and non-alphanumeric characters are replaced with your chosen separator. Multiple consecutive separators are collapsed into one, and leading/trailing separators are trimmed.
